It’s this belief that drives us to create our decking from the most dense and durable recycled Australian hardwoods we can find - like Ironbark, Turpentine, Tallowwood and Blackbutt. We are also happy to advise on the best coatings and designs for durability.

We’ll customise the finish to fit the look you’re creating in your home too. We can dress the timbers back for a clean appearance showing the colour and grain of the timber. Or the top surface of the decking boards can also be left rough sawn which gives a rustic appearance like an old farm verandah or the floor of an old wool store.

Clean Dressed Decking

The boards are planed back to reveal the colour and grain of the timber. Clean dressed decking is easy to install and maintain with a decking oil.

RECOMMENDED USES Suitable for all under cover & exterior decking.

SIZES In clean dressed decking we make an [83 x 18mm] board or an [83 x 28mm] board for extra strength and durability.

Rough Sawn & Wire Brushed Decking

The top face of each plank is left rough sawn for a rustic look and then wire brushed to remove splinters. This finish gives the rough sawn timber a lightly burnished appearance.

There is less chance of slipping on the grippy rough sawn surface compared to clean dressed. However, if exposed to the weather rough sawn decking will have more tendency than clean dressed decking for small splinters. It may need occasional attention with a wire brush.

RECOMMENDED USES This finish is perfect for a covered pergola or verandah.

SIZES Rough sawn & wire brushed boards will be a little thicker than clean dressed boards. Options are [83 x 20mm] or [95 x 20mm] if the edges are also left rough sawn.
