Thor’s Hammer has a range of one-off timbers available to choose from - including beautiful natural edge slabs, dressed timbers from the racks and bench top offcuts which you can use to make your own chopping or grazing board with a sand and a coat of oil. Thor’s Hammer has recycled and ready to use dressed timbers

We have a large variety of species and sizes available for your next DIY project. Our dressed timber racks hold timbers processed and ready for our furniture making team which you are welcome to choose from.

Pieces can be cut to size and we can quote to dress, profile or fill a special piece. You can also purchase OSMO natural timber oils & waxes and our epoxy resin filler from us to finish your timber yourself.

Offcuts from our bench top production are great for an easy project to turn into a bread or grazing board. We also have them available sanded and oiled and ready to go.

We source our slabs from street trees, road work clearing and backyard trees.

All our slabs are moisture checked and are ready to use for furniture making.

Drying slabs correctly is a fine art, and we have plenty of experience getting it done right. There is a careful process to make sure your slab won’t warp or split once turned into furniture. Our slabs are either kiln dried, or air dried for more than 5 years.

Slabs can be purchased as is or turned into a custom piece of furniture by our design and joinery teams.

RECYCLED TIMBER BREADBOARDS

We have a range of upcycled timber breadboards, all made from high-quality recycled Australian hardwoods.

We have a standard range of offcuts breadboards and cheeseboards that we top up regularly, as well as special collaborations with local designers and makers, and bespoke orders for local hospitality businesses.
