Like a great friend, a great table—or any other piece of furniture for that matter—should never go out of fashion, but weather the rough and tumble of a well-rounded life and contribute to interesting conversations. It’s why we choose to custom make all our furniture from recycled Australian hardwoods handpicked from old schools, factories and residential buildings with a rich history and story to tell.
Our furniture is custom designed and made right here in our Canberra workshop by skilled craftspeople who deeply understand the material. So you know it’s built with care and will last a lifetime (or most likely several lifetimes).
Being built to last means built to be enjoyed. Our customers don’t hide their furniture away. They believe in the power of great design to bring pleasure to everyday moments, without costing the earth. This is a belief that extends to every step of our low-impact processes, including the use of plant based resins and oils for filling and finishing the timber, and turning waste sawdust into clean burning fire briquettes.
