Anna & Josh’s Recycled Blackbutt / Dense Browns Kitchen Benchtop

When Rohan Hunt [Design & Sales at Thor’s] first met Anna & Josh they were renovating an old brick house in O'Connor. They came in to discuss ideas for a new kitchen and island bench in particular, with a few key elements in the brief.

Anna & Josh wanted to be able to sit opposite the kitchen and add function to what would be the central space of their new family home. So with Rohan they designed a breakfast bar island with seating and open shelving for cook books and ornaments.

Recycled Blackbutt was used throughout the entire job including a feature panel on the living room side of the island bench. The theme and style is tied together throughout the kitchen with streamlined shelving floating above the bench tops.
